Stray Light & Baffling
Non-sequential stray-light analysis, baffle design, blackening specification and ghost-image suppression.
Service Overview
For low-light, star-tracker and IR systems, stray light is the enemy of contrast. AISYS runs non-sequential Monte-Carlo stray-light analyses in FRED / LightTools to identify critical paths, quantify PST and design baffle systems that meet MIL / R&D-grade requirements.
Deliverables include baffle drawings, vane geometry, blackening specifications and vendor-qualified black-anodise or Vantablack recipes.
What We Deliver
- Non-sequential ray-trace stray-light analysis
- Point Source Transmittance (PST) and Off-Axis Rejection
- Baffle and vane geometry design
- Ghost-image identification and suppression
- Blackening specification (anodise, paint, Vantablack)
- Field-of-view flare and lens-flare mitigation
Engagement Process
